Safe Swimming
Starts Here

Because All Swim Lessons Should be Safety Skills Lessons.

At SafeSwimSolutions:

WE FLOAT FIRST

Every child, regardless of their age, will first learn the vital skill of obtaining and maintaining an independent float. This is the safest and most reliable position for young children to breathe, rest, and remain calm.

WE HAVE FUN

Once your child learns to float independently, your instructor will assess their unique emotional, developmental, and physical readiness to gently build more advanced swimming skills. Our approach will build the confidence and security needed to enjoy the aquatic environment for a lifetime.

WE ARE FLEXIBLE

We recognize the reality of our families’ busy schedules and realize that making time for daily swim lessons can be very difficult. Consistency is key to learning complex motor skills, but we will do our best to accommodate individual situations.

SafeSwimSolutions Swim Lesson Offerings

Every lesson is tailored to your child’s age, ability, and developmental readiness.

Foundation Lessons

All Students one-year old and beyond begin by building the foundation of floating. After the float is established, they move on to more advanced swim skills according to their emotional, physical, and developmental readiness.

Adaptive Lessons

All children diagnosed with ASD or other neurological, physical, or developmental challenges will benefit from our Adaptive prorgraming.

Gentle Start Lessons

For babies starting at 4 months old and their caretaker, these small group classes help prepare future swimmers for the Foudations program.

The SafeSwimSolutions Difference

We know life with kids can be unpredictable. That’s why we offer flexible scheduling options—so you can prioritize your child’s swim safety without adding stress to your day. Whether you need lessons that work around daycare, naps, or school, we’re here to make it work for you.

No two swimmers are the same. We tailor each lesson to your child’s age, ability, and developmental stage, focusing on both physical skills and emotional comfort. From first young floaters to older confident swimmers, we meet each child where they are.

Our approach goes beyond swimming laps. We teach children to be safe, confident, and capable in and around water, and these are skills they’ll rely on for life.

Common Water Safety Myths

(And What Every Parent MUST Know)

“I always watch my child; they won’t get into the water alone.”

⚠️ FACT: It is impossible to watch your child at every moment. 88% of drownings happen when at least one adult is present.

“Flotation devices will keep my child safe.”

⚠️ FACT: Traditional flotation devices such as puddle-jumpers are not designed for recreational use. They provide a false sense of security for parents and children, leading many to return to the water without the device on, thinking they can float and placing them in the “drowning position.”

“If my child cries during a swim lesson, they are going to develop a fear of the water.”

⚠️ FACT: Kids cry for many reasons without lasting emotional damage. Once a child has reliable safety skills, they are much more confident and happier in the water. No child should be comfortable before they are competent.
